but what i’ve was looking for was right here in Denmark

Piet hugging and the blue sky

my friends Piet and Liv moved to Norway to attend a school of theater and dancing and I was in Fredrikstad to visit them this weekend. They are some of the most laidback and straightahead people. And Piet told me about what I’ve been missing out on.

Quadron, ecactly what you need to watch the summer fade away and drink a beer in the sunset.

Quadron is, in my oppinion, a good shot at what will get international attention if they play their cards right. It’s not Duffy, it’s veronica Maggio and it’s deffinitly not Amy W – it’s good and if you like the ones i mentioned before… you’ll love them.

check out their myspace here (listen to slipping – so sweet)

all for now and untill next time

(kisses to Norway:)

How?

or how small are his hands since he’s able to do this.

I’m amazed by the works of Peter Callesen which i discovered while I was checking out an art blog. They had a post about Jen Stark (previously mentioned on this) and in this post they had pictures of Peter Callesens works aswell. Where Jen is really sharp, colour oriented and into creating patterns and shapes – Peter is more about telling the story in detail and with a twist of morbidity over it.

Go check out his website here

It’s still Summer?

art by Mikkel SommerNope, it’s Mikkel Sommer… yeah i know… but at least I tried

Anyways, Mikkel Sommer is a danish animations student i stumled upon and instantly fell in love with… he has a way of drawing which is somewhere in between right and wrong. His animations are real, honest and appeals to the beauty of the odd shapes in humans.

I love it, go check him out here

Never thought

I would thank facebook for helping me find music. And in all honesty, it wasn’t facebook but a comment on my facebook status from a guy i went to highschool with that led my ears to this guy/band. Yes I do say guy slash band since he’s playing everything himself and is acutally really good at it.

It’s hard to describe what he sounds like, but he has elements of cheesy rock and elements of sweet deep melodic melancoly. Kind of whiny but okay

His “band” is called Owen and check him out here (he has free downloads)

And while you’re at it, go check out my highschool buddy Snæivars band Mimas, they’re up and coming in denmark and really worth a listen.

check it out here

all for now
